Delhi- Heritage, Community & Culinary Delights
Today is all about engaging the senses — and the soul.
We’ll begin with a visit to the breathtaking Humayun’s Tomb, a 16th-century UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Delhi’s most iconic monuments. Built by a queen in honor of her late husband, it’s a serene blend of Mughal architecture and Persian gardens — and the inspiration behind the Taj Mahal. As you walk its beautifully restored grounds with an expert guide, you’ll gain insight into centuries of design, love, and legacy.
Next, take part in a creative workshop hosted by a local women-led NGO, where art, empowerment, and cultural connection come together. Inspired by the architecture and stories you've just explored, this experience offers a meaningful way to engage with the women shaping their communities.
Then, prepare to plunge into the energy of Old Delhi. Hop on a cycle rickshaw for a ride through the colorful chaos of Chandni Chowk — one of the city’s oldest and most vibrant markets. Let the aromas of cardamom and curry guide you through winding lanes, past chai vendors, fabric sellers, and food stalls. We’ll pause for a tasty street snack before visiting Jama Masjid, the grand mosque built by Emperor Shah Jahan, for a guided walk through its striking history and culture.
Our next stop: the peaceful Bangla Sahib Gurudwara, a place of Sikh worship rooted in service and equality. Here, you’ll witness (and can even join) the Langar — a community kitchen that prepares and serves thousands of free meals daily. Stir a pot, roll a chapati, or simply observe the beautiful rhythm of shared service.
To close the day, we’ll gather for a hands-on Indian cooking experience in a welcoming studio kitchen. Led by a local culinary expert, you’ll explore essential spices and traditional techniques, and help create classic North Indian dishes. Then, enjoy the delicious results together over dinner and lively conversation.

Agra - Forts, Feminine Influence & Local Connections
After breakfast, we’ll explore the magnificent Agra Fort on a privately guided tour. This UNESCO World Heritage site is a stunning example of Mughal grandeur — a labyrinth of palaces, courtyards, gardens, and mosques. Built by Emperor Akbar and expanded by his successors, the fort reflects generations of evolving architecture and ambition.
Among its many stories, the fort also holds space for the influential women of the Mughal court. Visit the mahals (palaces) of Jahanara and Roshanara, daughters of Shah Jahan, whose political and cultural impact was significant in their time — a powerful reminder that women have always shaped history, even from behind palace walls.
In the late afternoon, step into a local family’s home for a warm and welcoming high tea experience. This is your chance to engage in real conversation, savor homemade snacks, and learn firsthand about Indian traditions, celebrations, and daily life. It’s not just a meal — it’s a meaningful exchange that turns travel into connection.
Return to the hotel for a relaxing evening and overnight stay.

Wander through ornately carved halls, serene gardens, and immersive exhibitions that bring India’s heritage to life.
In the afternoon, we’ll pay homage to one of the most powerful figures in India’s history with a visit to Gandhi Smriti, the home-turned-museum where Mahatma Gandhi spent his final days. With photographs, artifacts, and thoughtful displays, this experience offers a profound glimpse into his life and legacy.
In the evening, we’ll come together for a festive welcome dinner at a local restaurant — a delicious introduction to Indian cuisine and a special moment to connect as a group.

Varanasi - Dawn on the Ganges & Ancient Learning
Rise early for a soul-stirring boat ride along the Ganges as the city slowly wakes. From the water, watch as the morning light casts a golden glow over the ghats. Pilgrims gather to bathe and offer prayers, sadhus prepare for the day, and a sacred rhythm takes hold. It’s a quiet yet powerful window into daily life and devotion.
After the boat ride, enjoy a guided walk along the ghats and through the winding alleys of the old city before returning to the hotel to refresh and have breakfast.
Later, dive into Varanasi’s legacy as a center of learning with a visit to Benares Hindu University, founded in 1916. We’ll explore the on-campus Bharat Kala Bhavan museum, home to ancient manuscripts, sculptures, and regional art. Then stop at the unique Bharat Mata Temple, where a marble relief map of India replaces a traditional deity — a symbolic tribute to the nation itself.
In the afternoon, journey to nearby Sarnath, the sacred site where the Buddha gave his first sermon. Walk among ancient stupas and ruins commissioned by Emperor Ashoka, and reflect on the enduring teachings that were born here.
That evening, we’ll gather for a traditional vegetarian thali dinner at a local favorite, Shree Shivay — a flavorful close to a day filled with history, learning, and quiet awe.

Pilgrims, priests, rickshaws, and sacred cows fill the narrow streets with life, while the Ganges flows steadily at the city’s heart — a river revered as both goddess and guide. Varanasi is a place where ancient rituals unfold daily, and where spirituality pulses through every moment, transcending religion and belief.
After checking in to our hotel, we’ll venture to the banks of the Ganges for a mesmerizing evening Aarti ceremony. As priests in saffron robes light lamps and chant to the rhythm of conch shells, bells, and drums, we’ll witness a moving ritual of devotion and gratitude to the river.
